Concrete Slabs

Concrete Slabs

There are a multitude of concrete solutions out there. We are not just going to limit our possibilities to applying poured concrete to the whole area. In fact, the use of concrete slabs for both repairs and essentially set up procedures can be a quick way to upgrade an existing concrete surface or set up a new one. As we mentioned it’s very important for us to be able to apply different concrete solutions. Through concrete slabs we are essentially bringing a whole new slate of possibilities into our projects. Particularly if you’re looking for a quick repair.

Concrete Slabs That Fit A Particular Situation The Right Way

This is going to sound like a very obvious thing to say. Yet, we walk around Youngstown and we still see some of these issues. We are talking about when you are adding a concrete slab to an existing structure. The final product ultimately looks like you’re patching up the structure. You can tell 100% that the concrete slab that was put in wasn’t part of the original design. This is one of the main concerns that we may have. Making sure that whatever it is that we add flows into the look and feel of the area naturally.

Creating The Slab On The Spot

One of the best, and probably only ways to be able to do this is to remove the existing structure or prep the area accordingly. So that we can proceed to create the concrete slab through a poured concrete method right on the spot. This is going to allow us to match the thickness of any existing structure or help us build something that as we mentioned can blend into the area seamlessly.

Is This A Durbale Solution?

When people task us with repairing existing structures, and we have to remove a slab to then build another one in its place one of the common questions that we get is whether or not the slab is going to hold up well long term. The answer is actually in the prep work, potentially even more so than the materials that we could be using. If the previous area was damaged because of a problem with the soil underneath the concrete, and we don’t fix that, you’ll be back to square one rather quickly. That’s why we talk about the prep work and the actual repairs that we may have to apply to the surface below the concrete slab as one of the main concerns that we have.

Our Main Concern In Repairs

What we never want to do is make a promise about what we are going to be able to do without first getting to the bottom of the problem. Yes, not all cracks and things that we see in the concrete come from a major issue. Yet, we can’t promise that we’ll be able to make an extensive repair and get everything back to the way it was until we find the source of the problem and we figure out how to remedy that.
